Bebington Put Neston To The Sword

Bebington ease to victory against local rivals Neston

The opening exchanges saw bebington take the lead as Daisy barrick nontionontally passed the ball into the corner of the goal after great skills down the left from lydia ward. 1-0. Then came nestons only chance of the half, which was expertly dispatched by the neston forward, gunning it home from top d. 1-1. Gail Haynes got in on her cher of the action and is starting to believe in life after love, as she turned back time to score bebs 2nd goal and after a smart turn, shoop shooped it into the right corner. 2-1. Great work from evie garret led to a fortunate penalty stroke. Flick specialist Amelia Mcmullen casually roofing it, kissing the bar on the way in. 3-1. More Beb pressure ensued and after a glut of saves by Neston GK the ball rebounded out to Sas Costain, who flicked powerfully into net from 13.45yds. 4-1. Man (girl) of the Match Lydia Ward robbed the Neston centre back and calmly slotted home, for her 1st ever goal. 5-1. With the result safe Captain Hannah Little was pushed up front, and nearly scored with her 1st chance. It was Neston though who scored next with a deserved goal. 5-2. More Neston pressure followed resulting in GK Mia Wright making some fine saves. Bebs final goal came after a fluid passing move from back to front, Jo Whitaker tackling and passing right to Rachael Cannon who powered up field, shifting the ball through midfield, Evie Garret rounded off the move with a cheeky goal, which teased the Neston defence, before trickling over the line. 6-2. Another excellent team performance which couldn't have been possible without the unselfish Laura Wilson, who's tenacity and positioning gave Beb great balance. Next week sees another local derby v Oxton at fortress oval.
